RUTH DOYLE MIDDLE SCHOOL
Observe. Question. Infer
Well, we were out Friday so this will put us a little behind schedule. We are still having our quiz over "cycles in ecosystems" on Monday/Tuesday but the lessons for Matter will be pushed back a day or two to make-up for the snow day.
Speaking of matter the snow gives us an opportunity to teach science to the kids! The water falling as a liquid cools off due to the temperature of the air and changes states from a liquid to a solid (snow). As heat is added to the snow it will melt and change state back to a liquid. As the sun comes out and adds heat the water will change state again to a gas!
